International Quran Competition aims to enhance spirituality in academia

The International Quran Competition for Muslim Students promotes spirituality and Quranic engagement among students worldwide. Iranian officials reaffirm their commitment to fostering Quranic culture and advancing Islamic unity through such initiatives.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The International Quran Competition for Muslim Students is not only a platform for Quranic excellence but also an opportunity to enhance spirituality within academic circles, an official stated.

Seyed Mohammad Mehdi Mostafavi, vice deputy of communications and international affairs at the office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, emphasized the significance of promoting Quranic culture in Iran. He pointed to the Quran’s central role in Iran’s governance, highlighting the pride and responsibility carried by officials in demonstrating adherence to its teachings.

Mostafavi stressed Iran’s commitment to advancing Quranic activities on regional and global levels, stating that the country must continue delivering remarkable initiatives in this field. He reaffirmed the full preparedness of the Commission for the Development of Quranic Activities to contribute to organizing the competition’s 7th edition internationally.

Expressing optimism about the event’s impact, Mostafavi noted that the competition aims to further the realization of a new Islamic civilization and the promotion of Quranic teachings. He voiced hope that it would bring spiritual enlightenment into university environments, strengthening the connection between academia and Islamic values.

Since 2006, the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization, affiliated with the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR), has organized this prestigious event to foster unity among Muslim students worldwide and elevate Quranic engagement. Over six successful editions, the competition has drawn participants from more than 85 countries, leaving a lasting impact on the Islamic world.

The 6th edition was held in April 2018 in the holy city of Mashhad, northeast Iran.
